Moringa Moments: Inside the Wellness Circle – Meet Alisa Sydenham

As we continue to celebrate Women’s Empowerment Month through our Moringa Moments: Inside the Wellness Circle Series, we’re honored to introduce Alisa Sydenham—a life coach, yoga facilitator and retreat leader. With over 25 years of devoted yoga and meditation practice, Alisa brings a deep, embodied wisdom to the wellness space. Her journey is one of evolution, vitality, and a passion for guiding others back to their center.

 

A Lifelong Journey to Vitality

Alisa’s path into wellness began with a love for movement and performance. “Have always been an athlete, interested in new modalities and nutrition, better performance,” she shares. “Discovering yoga later in life (late 30’s early 40’s), it brought many things together and became a passion.” That passion for yoga deepened through continued study. “As I learned for myself, many teacher trainings, workshops, certifications etc, sharing with others became a passion as well,” she explains. Today, her mission is rooted in helping others tap into their fullest vitality: “Now it's about wellbeing, vitality and advocating pro-youthing modalities.”

 

Small Shifts, Big Impact

When asked about a transformative wellness practice that can elevate daily life, Alisa offers a simple, nourishing approach: “In addition to deep breath work, Gua Sha for face and lymphatic drain massage, for the entire body.” These gentle, yet powerful practices offer both physical and energetic benefits—reinvigorating the body’s natural flow and encouraging a deeper connection to self.

Rituals that Ground and Align

For Alisa, wellness is a daily devotion—and certain practices are simply non-negotiable “Lymphatic drainage and daily yoga or Qi Gong mobility,” she says. These grounding rituals not only support physical health but offer space to pause, reflect, and align.

A Moringa-Powered Routine

Alisa lives by a powerful mantra that echoes through all aspects of her work: “Lokha samistha sukhino brahvanthu – May all beings everywhere, be peaceful and free.” And when it comes to navigating the more difficult moments in life, her advice is both grounding and liberating: “Let go. Let them. If people are going to do something you don't agree with or have no control over, let them. Often, it's not about you. Don't take it personally.”

Alisa’s presence and practice are a reminder that true wellness isn’t just about what we do—it’s about how we live, how we breathe, and how we care for ourselves on every level.
